About Derek

Derek T. Triplett is The Transformation Change Agent.

His work is not centered on motivation, inspiration, or temporary uplift. It is focused on helping people and systems function better—at home, in organizations, in schools, in churches, and in leadership.

For more than two decades, Derek has worked with individuals, families, institutions, and leaders to address a consistent problem: people want change, but lack the clarity, structure, and responsibility required to sustain it. His work exists to close that gap.

He is the founding pastor of Hope Fellowship Church in Daytona Beach and the architect behind Be Even Better, an ecosystem designed to organize his teaching, leadership, and systems-based approach to transformation under one clear mission.

What Derek Believes

Derek’s work is guided by a simple conviction:

Change that does not show up in behavior, structure, and responsibility is not transformation.

Whether working with parents, couples, educators, leaders, or organizations, his focus remains consistent:

  • Responsibility before outcomes
  • Structure before scale
  • Clarity before growth

He teaches that improvement is not about doing more, but about organizing what already exists so it works as intended.

How He Works

Derek does not speak differently to different audiences.

The context changes.
The message remains consistent.

He helps people:

  • See where systems break down
  • Understand their role within those systems
  • Take responsibility without shame
  • Build structures that support long-term growth

This approach allows his work to translate across environments—from homes and classrooms to churches and boardrooms—without losing credibility or coherence.

Background

A native of East St. Louis, Illinois, Derek is a graduate of Bradley University, where he developed a disciplined approach to communication as part of the university’s nationally recognized forensics team. He completed theological studies at Reformed Theological Seminary and was consecrated as a bishop in 1998 within the Full Gospel Baptist Church Fellowship.

Over the years, Derek has taught, spoken, and provided leadership across churches, schools, conferences, universities, and civic organizations. His voice and work have been featured through national media platforms, educational settings, and community institutions.

In addition to his teaching and leadership work, Derek has contributed to gospel music and media as a songwriter, worship leader, radio host, and cultural voice—always with the same intent: connecting belief to lived responsibility.

The Be Even Better Network

Be Even Better is not a slogan.
It is an organizing principle.

It exists to help people and institutions move from intention to structure, and from structure to sustained improvement. Every area of Derek’s work—parenting, relationships, leadership, education, spiritual formation, and organizational development—flows from this single mission.

At the Core

Derek is a father, a teacher, and a leader committed to long-term impact over short-term noise. His work is rooted in responsibility, guided by clarity, and measured by outcomes that last.

This site exists to organize that work—and to invite others into the process to BE EVEN BETTER!
