Beware of Germs

Beware of Germs

What is in Your Relationship BackPack?

Germs were everywhere in school, on door handles, desks, books, and on other people’s hands. Don’t even mention the gym, locker room or the restrooms. Germs are unavoidable in all public places. We all carry them. Hand sanitizer has become a friend to us all. I still carry it in my backpack. Don’t you?

In your relationship backpack, hand sanitizer represents the need to cleanse yourself from the residue of what you’ve faced during the day before you interact with your partner. A bad day at work, a problem with a coworker or money frustrations can affect your mood and your negative disposition can affect how you interact with your partner.

How many times have you been easily annoyed because of something that had nothing to do with your mate?

How many times have you mistakenly taken your frustration out on your partner?

It’s the kick the cat syndrome, displacement at its best.

For the sake of your relationship, sanitize yourself from anything that could potentially contaminate your relationship, your partner, or your interaction with him or her.

Before you go home in the evening or even all through the day take a minute. Take a deep breath. Say a little prayer. Detox so that you’re ready to give your mate your best. Germs can cause infection. Do your best not to bring them home.

I have been reading all your work and I am just loving it. I’m a little disappointed that you haven’t written on your blog in a while, but I’m sure you’re busy. I find your stories and your advice life-changing and I wouldn’t be able to be where I am without it. Your relationship backpack series gave me literal chills. I just thought I’d let you know how much I’m enjoying your work and that I hope you read this. Anyway, good luck with the kids!
