Relationship Coach Derek Triplett said one third of all divorce documents include the word “Facebook” so it is clear social media is becoming a marital issue. He said couples should discuss how they manage information in peace so they have guidelines when they are at war. He recommends deciding what is appropriate at the beginning of a relationship, especially before committing to marriage.
Triplett said while two people may say how much they want to be together, it is important for them to put emotion decide and decide how they are going to make their relationship work.
He also said he advises couples not to make Facebook a journal and know what is appropriate to share.
